Parallel Reel Editing - Multiple Reels at Once

Spawn parallel editing workspaces for all filmed-but-not-rendered reels in a single batch. Identifies unrendered reels, sets up isolated Remotion workspaces, and launches parallel renders.

Parallel Reel Editing

Edit multiple filmed reels simultaneously. Identifies all filmed-but-not-rendered reels, sets up isolated Remotion workspaces for each, and launches them in parallel.

When to use

  • End of a filming session: "edit everything from today"
  • Weekly batch edit: "render all unrendered reels"
  • User supplies a list of reel slugs to process in parallel

The problem this solves

Editing reels sequentially means waiting for render N before starting render N+1. With isolated Remotion workspaces, each reel renders independently — the only bottleneck is your CPU/RAM.

Requirements

  • Node.js 18+ with Remotion
  • Each reel needs: a broll-config.json (or equivalent config) and the source footage
  • At least 8GB RAM for parallel rendering
